Gospel according to Matthew 11:25–27
Today, the heart of Jesus overflows with joy and gratitude toward the Father. He reveals to us a wonderful secret: God allows Himself to be encountered not by those who consider themselves great, self-sufficient, or certain that they know everything, but by those whose hearts are simple, humble, and ready to welcome His love. Being little does not mean being weak; it means recognizing that, without God, we can do nothing. A humble heart knows how to kneel, to trust, to allow itself to be guided, and to marvel at the works of the Lord. It is precisely to these little ones that the Father reveals the treasures of His Kingdom. Today, let us ask for the grace to free ourselves from pride, presumption, and the desire to rely solely on ourselves. Let us allow Jesus to take us by the hand and lead us to the Father, because only in Him will we find true peace, everlasting joy, and the love that fills the heart. Today, let us choose to be little in the eyes of the world so that we may become great in the heart of God. In this way, our lives will become a living Gospel, and through us many people will be able to encounter the merciful face of the Father. Let us commit ourselves to living with a simple and humble heart, entrusting everything to Jesus and asking Him for the grace to recognize His presence in every person and in every event of our day.
