Gospel according to Matthew 13:31-35
Today, Jesus opens our hearts and minds to the wonderful mystery of the Kingdom of God. In the eyes of the world, what is small may seem insignificant, but in the eyes of God, it is precisely what is humble that contains immense strength. A mustard seed, almost invisible, becomes a great tree; a pinch of yeast transforms the whole dough. This is how the love of God acts in our life: silently, with gentleness and patience, yet with a power capable of renewing everything. Perhaps you too think that your prayer is small, that your love is fragile, that your little gestures of goodness change nothing. Today, Jesus reassures you: no act of love is useless, no tear offered to Him is wasted, no “Yes” spoken with trust remains without fruit. When the heart opens itself to His grace, the Holy Spirit transforms it day by day, until it becomes a dwelling place of the presence of God. The Lord does not seek perfect people, but hearts in love with Him. He enters into our frailties, fills them with His love, and makes them capable of giving peace, hope, and mercy to those around us. This is the wonder of the Kingdom: God takes what is small and transforms it into a blessing for many. So let us allow Jesus to sow His love in our hearts today. Let us welcome it and guard it through constant prayer; let us nourish it with His Word and with the Eucharist. We will see a tree of faith grow within us, beneath whose branches many will be able to find rest, consolation, and the joy of knowing they are infinitely loved by God. And so, let us perform a small gesture of love in hiddenness. Let us entrust it to Jesus with confidence: in His hands, even the smallest seed becomes a masterpiece of grace and eternal love.
