“The Kingdom of God is near; repent and believe in the Gospel.”

Gospel according to Matthew 10:1-7

Jesus does not keep His disciples close to Himself, but sends them into the world. When love is authentic, it never closes in on itself: it gives itself, sets out on the journey, and reaches those who are wounded, discouraged, or waiting for a word of hope. We too are sent out every day. Perhaps we will not stand at a pulpit, but we can proclaim the Gospel through a life that bears the fragrance of Christ. Every act of charity, every forgiveness offered, every word spoken with love can become a caress of God for those around us. The Lord does not ask us to do extraordinary things, but to allow His Love to pass through us. When our heart belongs to Jesus, even the simplest gesture can change someone’s life. Do not be afraid to be witnesses of His Love: the world needs to see that God is alive and continues to love through His children. The Lord calls us every day to conversion, to change our lives, and to bring His joy and His love wherever we are. Let us ask ourselves, then: am I committed to bringing God’s plan of love into the world? Is my love concrete, or is it only words carried away by the wind? Let us go and bring the love of God, because it is by giving love that we become love.
