Becoming Living Signs of God\u2019s Love. What a wonderful challenge of Love Jesus presents to us today! The crowds seek extraordinary signs, miracles powerful enough to convince them, yet they fail to recognize the greatest miracle of all: God is right there, before their very eyes, offering them His very Self! The true sign is not something to be seen, but Someone to be encountered, loved, and followed. Today, too, the Lord calls us to become living signs of His Love for the men and women of this generation. He does not ask us to astonish the world with spectacular deeds, but to make Him visible through lives transformed by His presence. To be living signs means allowing those who encounter us to perceive, through our eyes, our words, our choices, and the way we love, that Jesus is alive and at work in human hearts. Following Jesus is not always easy, but it is immensely beautiful and exciting! He takes away nothing of who we truly are; rather, He restores us to ourselves, revealing our most authentic beauty. He frees us from the masks we wear, from the fear of being judged, from the need to impress others, from our insecurities, and from everything that holds our hearts captive. With Him, we learn to become authentic people, inwardly free, capable of loving without possessing, of giving ourselves without expecting anything in return, and of living without constantly seeking the approval of others. This is the extraordinary newness of the Gospel: the more we belong to Christ, the more we become truly ourselves! His will does not diminish our freedom; rather, it brings it to its fullness. To follow Him is to discover that the greatest happiness does not lie in doing whatever we want, but in loving as He loves. Let us, then, allow ourselves to be completely captivated by Jesus, until we become a living Gospel! May our lives become the very sign someone is waiting for to rediscover hope, to experience once again the beauty of faith, and to fall in love with God. For the greatest sign we can offer the world is a life so filled with Christ that it awakens in others an irresistible desire to encounter Him, to know Him, and to love Him!<\/p>\n
